The sixth week of my internship was characterized by iterative system improvements and essential network infrastructure support. Following our standard Monday protocol, I assisted with the QR code attendance scanning for the city's weekly Flag Raising Ceremony.
A primary focus of the week was the post-deployment phase of the PDAO Identification Card Automated System. I made several visits to the Persons with Disability Affairs Office to implement minor modifications and system refinements based on the staffs initial use. These updates addressed specific user needs and ensured the system logic was perfectly aligned with their daily workflow.
Beyond software development, I expanded my technical experience into network troubleshooting and infrastructure. I retrieved the PDAO Wi-Fi router for a detailed inspection to diagnose connection instabilities. Additionally, I assisted the ICTO technical team in the installation of new fiber optic cabling for the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) area. This hands-on experience in physical networking—from inspecting hardware to laying high-speed fiber lines—provided a well-rounded view of how the LGU maintains its connectivity across different departments.
